The Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission come together each year to honor excellence in the Washington County business community with the Washington County Business Awards.

At Your Service: Awarded to a Washington County retail or service business for undertaking actions that generates customer loyalty and satisfaction.
* Rentals Unlimited, Inc.
Going Green Award: Awarded to a Washington County business that integrates environmentally friendly operating practices and procedures.
* Hagerstown Community College
Large Business of the Year Award (50+ employees): Awarded to a Washington County business that has demonstrated any or all of the following: product or service quality, job creation, innovation, strong community involvement, high standard in business practice, commitment to Washington County and the community.
* Brook Lane Health Services
Small Business of the Year Award (below 50 employees): Awarded to a Washington County business that has demonstrated any or all of the following: product or service quality, job creation, innovation, strong community involvement, high standard in business practice, commitment to Washington County and the community.
* Cronise Market Place
Leading Edge Award: Awarded to a Washington County business that leverages technology to advance their organization. This may be an innovative use of an existing technology, a new invention offered for sale, or creating or developing a significant advancement that serves as an inspiration for future progress.
* Biaera Technologies
Non-Profit Award: Recognizes and honors a 501c3 organization with a Washington County based Board of Directors that provides exemplary services and/or programs. The recipient receives an unrestricted grant of $1,000, made possible by the Community Foundation of Washington County, Maryland.
* Maryland Theatre
Washington Co. Business Person of the Year: Awarded to a Washington County business person who, during the last year, has demonstrated excellence in business, enhanced the image of the business community and/or has provided superior service to business and the community as a whole.
