General Eligibility Guidelines:
- Past winners are not eligible to submit for the same category for five years.
- Past finalists are not eligible to submit for the same category for two years.
- Nominees can only win Business Person and Young Professional of the Year once.
501(c)(3) organizations are not eligible to compete in the Small, Medium or Large Business categories. - Nominated organizations will only be permitted to make a submission for one award per year. If nominated for multiple awards, the nominated organization will get to choose which award they submit for.
- An organization or individual only needs to be nominated one time per award category to be eligible to submit for that award.
- Organizations must have a physical location in Washington County.

About the Judging Committee:
The judging committee will be made up of past finalists/winners from the past 25 years. If selected judges cannot participate, several community leaders (non-governmental) will be selected to join the judging committee. A judge with a personal stake, familial relationship or Board participation of a nominee is unable to vote in that category.
Eligible nominees are given the opportunity to complete a questionnaire, which is then passed along to the judges to score independently. The highest-scored nominees are named the winners.
